Overview

When you arrive at Hostellerie des 3 Mousquetaires you’ll be struck by the gorgeous foyer and public rooms of this 19th century chateau. If the sun is shining why not grab a chair on the lawn under the shade of the trees, and enjoy some refreshments. Here you will discover some lovely grounds with mature trees - a place where you can stay cool and relax, and if you’re feeling more energetic there are some boules courts to try your hand at. The very special hotel restaurant 'Les Saveurs du Parc' (completely refurbished in 2010) is a charming place to sample regional specialties along with a wide range of wines.

As you explore the hotel, there are lots of interesting local ornaments, objet d’art but we reckon the highlight of your stay will be the food – this is serious business and both food and wine here is first rate – choices are excellent and service just right –unhurried but not too slow, attentive but not intrusive.

There are differently priced, extensive menu choices so it’s unlikely you’ll eat the same thing twice (unless of course you really want to) and they will take your breakfast options at the dinner table so everything is prepared the following morning for a superb breakfast.

There is plenty to see and explore in the surrounding area – the hotel provides very helpful brochures if you need some inspiration. Guest rooms are well decorated with lovely views – we’re sure you will have a very pleasant experience here – this is a very ‘French’ hotel so we suggest you don’t visit it you want the branded, intercontinental experience but if a slice of the real France is what you're seeking we recommend you visit this most welcoming of places.

Gourmet/Spa

As the Overview reveals, we think this chateau offers a special gourmet experience. With a modern and inventive kitchen, on view and inspiring confidence, the hotel restaurant 'Les Saveurs du Parc' offers a menu replete with the rich gifts of each season. They have regular deliveries of fresh seafood from Boulogne and regional products such as beef, chicory and vegetables from the low lying fields and poultry from nearby Licques.

You can choose from the a la carte or fixed menus and with an impressive wine list of both great and modest vintages, why not be guided by some good ‘sommelier’ advice for the perfect accompaniment to your meal – an experience not to be forgotten.

Add to all this the fact that there is a spa just 150m from the chateau – ‘Instant de Plenitude’ a place where you can unwind and renew yourself with various treatments, massages, body scrubs and mud wraps – that's just some of it - this all combines for a very special experience.

Idyllic with heaps of character and history
