We think Hotel Westminster is the jewel in the crown of Le Touquet’s hotels, it really makes a statement as you drive into Le Touquet – set in a lovely open space surrounded by trees, with the park opposite this grand hotel is an architectural delight reminiscent of a bygone era.

When you walk into the huge entrance lobby you could be on the set for an episode of Poirot! Full of retro-chic glamour, with wide staircases, plush salons, dining rooms and a bar that has the most amazing jazz portrait photos we’ve seen of Miles Davis, John Coltrane and others - from here you can take a drink or afternoon tea out onto the front terrace.

Even taking the lift is an experience – it has real style and charm – you feel like you’re stepping back in time. Walk in the other direction towards the Michelin starred restaurant ‘Le Pavillon’ and the corridor is lined with an impressive photo gallery of past guests - the great and the good from all walks of life ranging from various members of royal families to politicians and stars of the screen and sporting world – it’s an absorbing journey in itself.

There’s a more informal restaurant ‘Les Cimaises’ on the first floor where you can enjoy buffet style cuisine and whether you’re enjoying some champagne at the bar, dining in either restaurant or relaxing in the Jazz bar you will appreciate the attentive but discreet service and delightful ambiance – we just melted into an era of opulence and elegance for a couple of days.

Here you can traverse thick carpeting to tastefully styled rooms with high ceilings spacious bathrooms with everything you could require and large comfortable beds – those at the front enjoy a particularly pleasing aspect. With all this fine living, we made good use of the lovely indoor pool, and there’s also a Jacuzzi and Nuxe Spa which offer a touch of luxury with many different treatments on offer.

It’s a really easy & pleasant stroll into the town centre from the Westminster – not a place you will easily forget and we can also arrange half board and golf packages on request. There’s plenty of secure, free parking for guests at the rear of the hotel.
